The Dublin-based parent company of FanDuel launched a secondary listing of its shares on the New York Stock Exchange on Jan. 29. Shareholders have since voted to making the NYSE the primary listing for the stock rather than London, and that change is slated to take effect May 31. UBS analyst Ben Shelley said in a May 9 note to clients that the primary listing change could help close those gaps. Flutter is not the only company in recent years to shift its primary listing to the U.S., and the track records of those companies could be a positive sign for Flutter. UBS pointed to building materials companies CRH — which transitioned its primary listing to the NYSE in September 2023 — and Ferguson — which made the switch in May 2022 — as examples.

THE HUNTER, by Tana FrenchFour years ago in these pages, the critic Janet Maslin published a guide to “the essential Tana French.” For some of French’s fans, all the novels are essential. Unpredictability and a refusal to be boring are part of French’s talent, and they make the books (almost) as much fun to debate as they are to read. Instead, a rebellious, preteen outcast named Trey Reddy enlists his help in finding her missing brother. In “The Hunter,” Cal, two years older, is still living in Ardnakelty. Cal and Lena want Trey to stay well clear, but she has different ideas.

“How to Have Sex” is not didactic, however, which is what makes it so effective. And it starts out so fun, like a more innocent and realistic “Spring Breakers.”Parties on screen rarely feel as fun as they’re supposed to — the joy often looks a little forced. This is something Skye makes her feel self-conscious about while also trying to push her to get rid of on the trip. ___Their recommendations include securing land rights for women, promoting women's cooperatives and encouraging women to lead on developing climate policy. The link between phenomena like uterine prolapse and climate change is indirect but significant, said Seema Bhaskaran, who tracks gender issues for the nonprofit Transform Rural India Foundation. “It must prioritize awareness programs that emphasize the specific health challenges women face in the wake of climate change as a critical step towards increasing public knowledge. These efforts will also serve as a call to action for governments, institutions, and communities to prioritize women’s health and well-being as a central component of their climate initiatives,” she added. “Definitely there is a very clear recognition that climate has a health impact and health needs to be considered more seriously,” she said.

The daily-fantasy-sports company, which European gambling giant Flutter Entertainment had acquired, was racing to introduce its "same-game parlay" to the US. The same-game parlay, a phrase FanDuel coined, has since caught fire, meshing well with the high-scoring, stat-driven, athlete-personality focus of US sports — and propelled FanDuel to the forefront of the betting market. "The same-game parlay was the right product in the right market at exactly the right time." Every sports-betting operator, from DraftKings to newcomer Fanatics, now has or is building its version of the same-game parlay. After the NBA resumed play in July 2020, the same-game parlay grew from 5% to 10% of FanDuel's bets, Farren said.

Air quality dips every year ahead of winter, when calm and cold winds trap pollutants from sources including vehicles, industries, construction dust, and agricultural waste burning. Delhi has stopped local construction, closed primary schools till Nov. 10 and will impose restrictions on use of vehicles next week to fight pollution, but it wants its neighbouring states to control crop residue burning. At 2 p.m. on Tuesday, the real time air quality index stood at 306, a level categorised as 'hazardous' by Swiss group IQAir. "We direct the state government of Punjab and adjacent states to Delhi - Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh - to ensure that crop (residue) burning is stopped forthwith," Supreme Court judge Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul said. Farmers in Punjab and Haryana usually burn crop stubble left behind after rice is harvested in late October or early November to quickly clear their fields before planting wheat crops.
